Weather forecast said it is sunny today, but it’s cloudy.
The weather is difficult to predict during the rainy season.

Water temperature is getting lower recently.
Today’s w.temp is from 19 degree to 23 degree.

Its temperature is April’s one.
Why don’t the water temperature still cold?

I hope Kuroshio current come near Kushimoto as soon as possible.

Water temperature is still low. So Nudibranchs are fine and active.
I can meet Nudibranch called “Pikachu” .

It looks like Pokemon Pikachu
That’s why It’s called this nickname.

It looks like snake or Dragons .
The color is so beautiful. So I like it.

In last dive, Many fishes gather at same place.
I think they wanna lay an eggs.

We can observe ecological behaviors after this season.
I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Recently, The number of foreign guest who inquiry is getting more.

Today, I taught Open Water Diver course to a local high school student.
They are all energetic, lively and cheerful students!!

So, I have a good time today.

I will go to this class 6th July.
I’m looking forward to seeing them again.

And, I show you today’s creatures.
It’s sunny day today. So we can enjoy diving even more.

The water temperature is getting warm.
So, Anthias are getting active.

In the dive point of out of ocean, there are so many Sea goldies.
It’s so beautiful(^^)

And, Sometimes we can meet a tiny sea horse.
The name is Japanese Pigmy Seahorse.

The academic name of it is “Hippocampus japapigu”.
Japanese diver used to call it “Japapigu”. Japanese nickname become academic name.

Palette surgeonfish is still living in Kushimoto.
Usually, they run away somewhere but this fish is still here.

I think most people know this fish.
Why am I think so?

Because this fish become a model for Finding Dolly.
Do you know it??

It will be sunny tomorrow .
We must be able to enjoy diving tomorrow !!

It’s cloudy day today but the visibility is so good.
So we can dive without stress.

Recently, the number of divers who wear wet suit is getting more.
I feel like it’s the diving season.

And The inquiry from foreign tourists and guests is increasing.
I’m so happy many foreign guest to contact with us.

Now, I dived three times today.
The points are Sumisaki, Good Wrasse World, Bizen.

I can find baby Jawfish. The size is about 3mm.
It’s so cute, isn’t it??

And, the Nudibranch was in a circus-like-posture.

Why do the Nudi take such a posture??
It is so acrobatic !!

We can observe the situation that anemone is laying their eggs.

It’s so lucky to observe it.

We will dive two times tomorrow.
What creatures can we observe?

The storm come to Kushimoto today.
There are so heavy wind and rain. So we can’t dive today.

Today’s whether is like a typhoon….

Today I’d like to introduce the ecological behavior that we can observe this time.

First, I show you Nemo’s eggs.

Anemones are laying eggs everywhere .
If the timing is right, you can see the moment   when the baby anemone is born.
You can see it at night diving.

Other fishes are protecting their eggs.
Neon Damsel are laying their eggs on the rock and Father Damsel has been protecting it until the baby is born.

Some fish protect their eggs in their mouth.

While protecting eggs, the fish don’t eat anything.
It’s amazing!!!

I’m gonna go night dive tomorrow for observing anemone egg hatch-out.
Anemone eggs may have been hatched out today but I hope I gonna be able to see the moment the baby anemone is born tomorrow.

Immigration restrictions due to COVID-19 have begun to be relaxed.
So, We will resume accepting reservation for customers from overseas.

I hope many foreign tourists come to Kushimoto and our shop.
