Today, It’s rainy day today.
It feels warmer in the water than in the water.

The visibility is good. It is about 12m.
We can enjoy diving without stress.

Now, we can observe ecological behavior of many kinds of fishes.
Today, we can see Jaw-fish that protects their eggs in his mouth.

We can meet very small baby fish.

Japanese diver call it ” Tamashii”. “Tamashii” means soul in English.
I don’t know why many Japanese diver call that so.
But, I like this baby fish because it is so cute.

Japanese pigmy sea horse is living in the same place for a long time.

This situation is so beautiful.
So the diver who like to take a picture likes this.
I also like this situation.

Last, I wanna show you tiny seaslugs.

The size is about 2mm~5mm.
It is very small butI’m happy when I can find it.
If you like tiny creatures, you must like Kushimoto.

The sea of Kushimoto can be used not only for macro diving but also for diving to see the school of fish.

Immigration restrictions in Japan are becoming looser, so please come to Kushimoto when you come to Japan.

The storm come to Kushimoto today.
There are so heavy wind and rain. So we can’t dive today.

Today’s whether is like a typhoon….

Today I’d like to introduce the ecological behavior that we can observe this time.

First, I show you Nemo’s eggs.

Anemones are laying eggs everywhere .
If the timing is right, you can see the moment when the baby anemone is born.
You can see it at night diving.

Other fishes are protecting their eggs.
Neon Damsel are laying their eggs on the rock and Father Damsel has been protecting it until the baby is born.

Some fish protect their eggs in their mouth.

While protecting eggs, the fish don’t eat anything.
It’s amazing!!!

I’m gonna go night dive tomorrow for observing anemone egg hatch-out.
Anemone eggs may have been hatched out today but I hope I gonna be able to see the moment the baby anemone is born tomorrow.

Immigration restrictions due to COVID-19 have begun to be relaxed.
So, We will resume accepting reservation for customers from overseas.

I hope many foreign tourists come to Kushimoto and our shop.

Hello.
There are heavy wind in Kushimoto today.

But, water temperature is getting warm.
Today’s w.temp is 21 degree.

As the w.temp has risen, the activity of the fish has also become active.
We can observe their eggs.

For examples, Lobster is protecting their eggs in their stomach .

Damsel spawn their eggs in a shell. And father fish protect eggs until the eggs hatch.

Recently, the number of Nudi is increasing. I can find this Nudi today.

The Nudi is rare spices. I’m so happy I can find it!!!!

If you like to take a underwater pics, I recommend you to take this situation .

The situation is unique, isn’t it?

Japanese government has announced that it will increase the number of foreign tourists accepted to 30,000.

I’m looking forward the foreign tourists coming to Kushimoto for Diving.

It is about 8~12m at the morning.

But, water temperature is still 19 degree.
We need to wear dry suit(~~;)

But, there are many kinds of macro creatures.

We can meet emperor shrimp.

I like this shrimp because it’s very beautiful.
And Bigfin reef squid is spawning today.

I hope the water temperature is getting warm…

I like this situation. Because it’s so beautiful.

Coz the water temperature is getting lower, the number of Nudibranch is getting increasing.

This size is about 5mm.
It’s very small. So, If I can find out, I’m so happy!!!

The Forecast said it will be rainy tomorrow.
I hope that the visibility and water temperature is getting higher.

Long time no see everyone.

I’m sorry I couldn’t update this blog for a long time…..

The Japanese government recently announced that it will resume accepting foreign tourists .
I’m looking forward to foreigners coming from now on.

Then, I’ll show you a digest of Kushimoto’s sea last month.

Recently, Kushimoto’s sea has a nice visibility.
Today, the visibility is about 20m.

Sometimes it becomes a transparent sea like Okinawa.

When Kuroshio current come to near Shionomisaki, the visibility is getting clear.
If you come to Kushimoto at that time, you must like the sea of Kushimoto.

Usually, many fishes start breeding behavior in May.
We can observe the situation that fishes protect their eggs, spawning.

Now, Jaw fish protecting their eggs in his mouth.

when you observe this fish , don’t approach quickly.
When Jaw fish is surprised, they hide in a hole.

Other fish also protect their eggs in a mouth.

Japanese divers like these situations.

In July, the coral spawns egg in a night. the time is about 21:30-22:00.
I think the day is from 17th to 20th night.

When the coral spawns egg , the sea seems like the starry sky.
it’s so beautiful.

I have been studying english for a year, So I can do brief conversations in English I guess.

I took a week off last week.
So, I couldn’t update this blog for a while.

While a holidays, I studied how to search Nudibranchia in Kumomi, Shizuoka pref.
I started to search Nudibranch in Kushimoto two years ago.

I’ve been able to find Nudibranch little by little.
So now it’s fun to find Nudibranchs !!

Recently, I feel that the number of Doridina has increased.
The Nudibranch that will be seen in the future are likely to change, I think.

Today, I went to diving with a guest who have macro digital camera.
He said that he want to take a picture of Japanese pigmy seahorse.

So, I try to find out it.
As a result, I can find out 8~10 pigmy seahorse today.

we can meet many japapigs in a dive. So he could take a many kind of pictures.
He looks so happy!!

Now, there are so many Japanese Pigmy Seahorse in Kushimoto area, I guess.

I want to know how many Japapig lives in.

The shrimp is called “Laomenes cornutus”.
It’s rare shrimp in Kushimoto.

Then, I joined the group that is called ” Nudibranch lovers’ association”.
The group have five members. And the theme of this group is searching many Nudibranchs in Kushimoto area.

So, I try to look for more Nudibranchs as much as I can.
