After passing typhoon

Typhoon made our shop close for a week.

The typhoon named Shanshan made our shop close for a week…
We cannot dive for a week.

So, we went to research dive today.
I worry if underwater creatures were gone, but almost underwater creatures still stay at the same place.

There wasn’t huge surge for a week, but the situation of underwater was changed a little bit.

However, some goby still live in a same place.

Filament-finned prawn-goby was swimming a lot.
I guess they are so hungry due to typhoon. lol

On the other hands, Black sailfin goby looks exhausted.
They didn’t spread their fin at all.

When it doesn’t spread fin, it look like a branch, doesn’t it?

We also meet a shrimp named “Dasycaris zanzibarica”.
The shrimp is a little bit rare in Kushimoto area.

Others, we were able to meet Japanese pigmy seahorse as well.

This time, the typhoon didn’t seem to have much of an impact underwater.

We will restart diving from tomorrow.
I wonder if we can meet many kinds of underwater creatures tomorrow!!!

Foreigner tourists will come to our shop tomorrow.
I will do my best our guest to have a good time!!!

Many foreigner diver come to our shop recently!!

There was some surge a little bit due to typhhon.
But we can enjoy diving in a whole days.

The guest who comes from Germany and Australia today.
The number of overseas guest become more and more recently.

I would be happy if the sea of Kushimoto spread to the world.

I received some request that want to see nudis and Japan endemic species.

I showed this nudi at first dive.
They likes it. They said they had never seen it before.

And Today’s guest likes tiny underwater creatures.
So, I showed them tiny nudi.

The size is 2mm lol.
I was glad that they were so enthusiastic about taking photos.

And I also introduced them Japan endemic species.

The English name is Japanese butterfly fish.
I know the English name, but I don’t know the academic name.

The academic name is Chaetodon nippon.

The name include Japan!!! “Nippon” means Japan.
So I guess it is Japan endemic species.
I have to noted the academic name.

Others We saw many kinds of fishes in a day!!
There are so many fishes now.

You can see many kinds of fishes. So, you must enjoy diving in Kushimoto now.

It was fine day today.
And the sea was so calm!!

The water temperature is changing day by day.
Today’s water temperature was 23~28 degree.

Then, We went to dive in the point that located in out of the ocean.
There are so many fishes.

At this morning, we saw so many greater amberjacks.
Sometimes, they attack to silver striped round herring.

Recently, we can saw many kinds of baby fishes.

We were able to see baby Lion fish at the morning.

At second dive, we saw super small crab!!!

The size is 1mm. It was so hard to see it with our eyes lol

At last dive, we saw baby frog fish.

There isn’t many frog fish recently.
So this frog fish is very valuable!!!

I hope the frog fish keep staying at the same place for a long time.

The surge will be bigger and bigger after this time I guess.
We may not be able to dive on Friday due to typhoon effect.

Today, I try to find out macro underwater creatures.
I really like to find macro creatures!!!

We saw Japanese pigmy seahorse today.
This seahorse are staying at the same place.

And there are still many kinds of sea slugs.

The size is tiny.It is about 2mm.
But the color is so beautiful!!!

This situation is so beautiul, isn’t it??
Some goby lives in soft coral.
Many Japanese diver likes this situation.

I guess the number of baby jawfish is getting more!!!
It so cute!!!

We will dive three times in a day!!
The sea condition will be calm tomorrow as well.

It was so nice day for diving.
The visibility was so nice and water temperature was also good!!

Recently, there are so many Greater amberjack.
We can see them very close!!

The scene is so exciting.
Sometimes, some greater amberjack attack to silver striped round herrings.

We were seeing this scene for a long time(^^)

When we look on the rock, there are many kinds of macro creatures.
Today, we could see Beautiful Tambja nudibranch.

The color is so beautiful!!
We can see many kinds of sea slugs in this summer.

The water temperature is getting warmer, so the number of tropical fishes and toropical underwater creatures is getting more.

We can see boxer crab at the morning.

When they get angry or feel scared , they usually shaking their sea anemone.
The behavior is so cute(^^)

Then, it was OBON week by tomorrow.
The sea condition will be good.
We will be able to dive without stress as well!!

I was in charge of AOW course yesterday and today.

Today’s guest was interested in this fish.
Can you notice the fish in this pic?

They are so good at hiding.
So it is hard to find them. They looks like seaweed, doesn’t it??

The number of baby fishes is more and more.

Baby fishes are cute!!!
I like to see baby fishes.

We can see many dragonet on the rock recently.

Few days ago, the size of this fish is almost less than 1cm, but now it become more than 3cm.

It is so fast to grow up!!!

It will be sunny day tomorrow .
We will be able to enjoy diving as well!!!

It was windy at morning today, but the wind was getting lower.
The water temperature was 22-24 degree.

The water temperature is getting warmer and warmer, I guess.

I want to introduce this situation today.

It is coral spawning behavior.
I had no idea the coral would spawn.

I wanna introduce this situation to our guest.
But , the spawning behavior finished yesterday night…..

It is so fantastic!!!
The behavior usually was seen from end of June to end of July.

If you plan to come Japan in this term in next year, I want you to try to see it.
I really recommend you.

Then, the wind will be calm tomorrow.
We will be able to enjoy diving tomorrow!!!

We were so lucky to meet rare fishes.

The water temperature is 20~21 degree.

In this weekends, many guest will come to our shop!
So, I think I should tell them real sea condition.

Many kinds of fishes spawn or protect their eggs now.
The behavior is so cute(^^)

Also, baby fishes is getting more and more.

There are many long nose hawk fishes recently.

At last dive, we were able to see many kinds of pipe fishes.

All of them are so rare!!!

We were so lucky to see them!!!

Tomorrow will be weekend.
Many guest will come to our shop.

I hope the water temperature will be warmer than today soon.

It was heavy rain yesterday….
It rained like a torrent(^^;)

The rain reduced visibility…..
But, the water temperature was still same as yesterday.
It is 21~22 degree.

We can dive with wetsuit.

There are various of shrimps in bay side area.

This shrimp is called “Hamopontnia coralicola”
It is rare one.

The situation is nice.
The shrimp is tiny. It’s hard to see it.

When I was making a safety stop, I could find baby fish.

The size is 5mm.
I’m not sure what it is. Dose anyone know what this is?
I guess it is some of pipefish.

Others there is Long nose hawkfish.

It will be rainy day tomorrow .
I hope the rain will not be heavy.

It was rainy this afternoon.
But, we can dive in a whole day.

Water temperature is 22 degree. Most Japanese people feel cold underwater.
You need to wear inner vest I guess.

Although water temperature is still cold, fish is so active recently.

At some of point, there are so many pigmy sweepers.
In this area, there is a Tomato grouper.

The situation is one of famous in Kushimoto.

We can also see various of nudibranchs.

I think the number of nudibranchs is more than usual.
If you like nudibranch, this year is the best!!!

Others, we can see many various of fishes in Kushimoto area as well.

We can see Leaf scorpion fish in second dive.
They are good at hiding. So it’s hard to find them.

It will be windy day tomorrow .
I hope we will be able to dive in a whole day….
