The overseas tourists came to our shop continuously.
They love macro creatures. Especially nudibranch.

I also like nudibranch, so I could enjoy diving!!
When they come to Kushimoto, I want to show them this.

It called “Pikachu Nudi”.
The color is similar to Pikachu. So, we usually call it Pikachu.

And, Today’s guest like this nudibranch the best.

When I show it to the guest, she shouted underwater haha.
The size is tiny. it is about 1mm.

You need to take a pic of this, if you want to see completely(^^;)

Others, I show many kinds of underwater creatures that lives in Kushimoto.

Painted sweetlips were gathering at the same place.
I guess they will be spawning soon.

The water temperature is still cold, but most fishes is getting active.

The neon damsel is increasing.
The color is so beautiful. So, when overseas tourists come to here, I always show them.
Because, the fish was seen in Japan only I guess.

If you search some activity in Japan, I want you to consider doing scuba diving in Kushimoto.

I dived with American guest in last night and today.
He likes Nudibranchs and macro creatures.

So, I try to find various of macro creatures, especially nudibranch.
There still are many nudibranchs in Kushimoto area.

At last night, we can see Japanese pigmy sea horse.
It is so rare!! So, I’m so happy to find it at night diving.

At night, some nudi become active.
So, it is easier to find them.

We can see so many nudibranchs for two days!!!!

We could see many kinds of Nudibranchs.
Now, the number of Tambja Nudi is increasing.

The size is so small!!
It is better to use camera to see this nudibranchs.

And there also are two frog fish in a bay side dive area.

 

Can you find frog fish in this pic??
The frog fish is good at hiding. So, I have to search where the frog fish are.

I had good time for two days.
I wonder if he could have good  dive in our shop.

Other overseas guest will come to our shop tomorrow.
I will do my best to increase the number of overseas tourists who come to our shop.

It was sunny today!!
In this season, the number of rainy day is more than usual.
So, when it is sunny day we feel so happy.

Water temperature become warmer than yesterday.
It is 21-23 degree.

I hope it is getting more warmer as soon as possible.

Now, we are still able to see many kinds of nudibranchs.

The color of nudibranch is so beautiful!!
I like to search for nudibranchs. If you like nudibranch, it is the best season!!

Some damsel spawn and protect eggs now.

This is the only time you can see the spawning and egg raising scenes.

The number of young fish has increased in recent weeks.

The seasons in the ocean are progressing little by little.

I think we can see many kinds of situations after this time.
I’m looking forward to seeing various of underwater creature’s behavior and scenes.

The sea condition is still rough….
But we can dive in a whole day.

I was surprised that the water temperature is getting lower.
It is 20 degree today(^^;)

Today’s guest likes to see tiny underwater creatures.
So, I show them tiny nudibranchs so much.

Can you find the nudibranch in this picture ??
The size is about 0.5mm.
When I can find underwater creatures like this size, I’m so happy!!!

Recently, the number of Striped butterfly fish is increasing.

The color is so beautiful(^^)

Some Cardinalfish protect their eggs in their mouth.
It is difficult to observe with you eyes. I recommend you to use compact camera.

The water temperature changes from day to day, which makes it hard for the fish.

I hope the water temperature is warmer than today.

油断は禁物です・・・・汗

反面教師ってこういう事ですね（＾＾；）

今日も梅雨前線の影響により、串本エリアはクローズ・・・・。
月曜に続き須江へ遠征してきました〜〜。

今回は、前回よりもうねりはなく快適に遊べました〜〜。
朝イチはいきなりトラブル・・・・・

飛び込んだら僕の高圧ホースが破裂・・・・・・。
みなさん器材のチェックは大切ですよ〜〜（＾＾；）

なんとか立て直し、その後は快適にダイビングができました。

ここ最近須江に行く機会が多いのですが、ウミウシが多いです！！！！
今日は教科書通りのウミウシの卵にツルガチゴミノウミウシが。

ウミウシ探しにはやっぱり餌が大切です。

そして、エキジット間際には、オオモンカエルアンコウを発見！！！

綺麗な体色の個体＆綺麗なウミシダに寄り添う最高のシチュエーションにいました〜〜。

２本目は相変わらずのアオリイカ産卵！！！
頭上で喧嘩やら交接やらお祭り騒ぎでした〜〜。

下を見れば、季節の移り変わりを感じさせる、アミメハギのタマシイサイズが。

大きさ１cmに満たない可愛い個体です♪
他の場所にも別の個体がいたし、数が多いみたい。

見つけられたら、ウミウシ好きまたはウミウシサーチにご参加いただいた方に違いない！！！

ちなみに大きさ３mmくらいです笑

朝から僕自身トラブルに見舞われた１日でしたが、生き物にも恵まれ楽しくダイビングができました〜〜。

さて、明日は串本エリアでダイビングができそう。
うねりが落ちてくれますように〜〜。

We can see many kind of ecological behavior of fishes.

It was sunny at the this morning, but it became rainy afternoon…
The sea was so calm. So we were able to dive without stress today.

Now, it is the best season to observing ecological behavior.

Various of cardinalfish has their eggs in a mouth to protect now.
They usually close a mouth.
If you want to take a picture of these fishes, you have to wait for the fish to open its mouth.

We could also see baby Southern boxfish today.
It is first time for me to see in this season.

It is so cute!!!! It looks like dice, doesn’t it??

At last dive, we could see rare shrimp.

The body is clear. So it is hard to see this shrimp with eyes.
But, it is lucky when you can see this.

Also, Now is the best season to observe the clownfish eggs hatching.

Clownfish eggs hatching start at night. So we often go to night dive to see this behavior.

卵縛り！！

今日は卵縛りさいごに・・・・。

天気予報が当たった１日。
夕方にかけて雨が降り、今は大雨になっています（＾＾；）

明日は串本エリアはクローズに・・・。
遠征が決定してしましました。

クローズ前の今日は、嵐の前の静けさ。
穏やかな海で潜る事ができました！！！

水温が２３℃後半になり、魚達の産卵・求愛・保育シーンがたくさん見られるように。

今日は大潮だから？？各所のクマノミがハッチアウト前の準備に大忙し。
これはビーチのクマノミも調査しにいかなければ！！！！
クマノミのハッチアウト見たいって方はどしどしお問い合わせくださ〜〜い！！

そして、口内哺育シリーズ。
キンセンイシモチ・アオスジテンジクダイ・スジオテンジクダイが口内哺育真っ只中。

キンセンイシモチについては銀色の卵を咥えた個体も。

これから銀色の卵を咥えた写真が撮れる個体がどんどん増えてくるかな〜〜？？

スズメダイ系も各所で卵を保育。

もう生態シーンを追いかけていくと時間が足りないくらい色々観察できます。

生態シーンが始まると同時に始まるシーズンが幼魚。
今シーズン初のミナミハコフグygが登場！！！

大きさ１cmくらい。
めっちゃ可愛いサイズでした〜〜。

最終ダイブには、キイロテンテンエビも。

全身が出ている個体に遭遇。
ハサミの黄色がとても綺麗なのですが、全身でちゃうと黄色が出ない（＾＾；）

にしても思ったより体がでかいのがびっくりでした〜〜。

さて、明日は須江と古座に別れて遠征してきます。
なんとか遠征先で潜れますように〜〜。

It was heavy rain yesterday.
So, I’m worried about sea condition today.

But, the condition is so good.
Water temperature was 23 degrees and the visibility is 12m.

After rainy day, we can sometimes see this situation.

Around surface is filled with fresh water and bottom side is filled with sea water.
When this situation is happened, we can see this scene which looks like aurora.

Today, we can also see so many silver striped round herrings.

When they go through on us, it becomes dark underwater.
It is so dynamic !!!!

The water temperature become 23 degree, so some damsel start protecting their eggs.

Other fishes start ecological behavior soon, I guess.
I’m looking forward to seeing this behavior!!!

Also, we can still see many sea slug.
They are so beautiful!!!

If you like sea slug, here is the best place for searching sea slug I guess.

Although it will be rainy day tomorrow, sea will be calm.
We will be able to enjoy diving in calm condition.

天気も海況も劇的回復〜〜

昨日の大雨はどこへやら？？。

昨日の災害級の豪雨はどこへやら。
今日はすっかりと晴れました！！！

心配した透明度も劇的回復を一晩で遂げており、
１２mほど見えていました！！！そして、水温も２３℃台にアップ！！！
水温の上昇はいい傾向ですね〜〜♪

今日はマクロ撮影のゲストさんと潜ってきました。
リクエストはウルマカエルアンコウ。

一昨日再会してからの2回目でしたが、同じ場所にいてくれました！！！
良かった〜〜（＾＾；）

ウルマカルアンコウから移動している最中には、急に辺りが真っ暗になるほどのキビナゴの大群にも遭遇！！！

一瞬だったのですが、下を見ていてもすぐにわかるほどの数でした！！！
マクロを探す時になるとこんなワイドなシーンに遭遇・・・。

ガイドあるあるかもしれませんね笑

水温も２３℃に上がったことで、ナガサキスズメダイの産卵も本格スタートした様子。
今季初確認ができました！！！

安全停止では今日も雨水と海水の層がくっきり！！！

こんなグラデーションが見られるのはダイバーの特権ですね！！！

さて、明日は天気が崩れるみたい・・・。
でも海は穏やかそうなので、雨に負けず楽しんできま〜〜す！！！

Kushimoto area was closed today.

It was heavy rain and strong wind today.
So, we cannot dive in Kushimto area today.

We changed the dive site to Sue(Kii-Oshima area).
The sea is still calm at the morning, but the condition is getting harder.

We felt surge underwater though, we can enjoy diving in a whole day at Sue area.

At first dive, we can see the situation that tiger moray took cleaning by Banded coral shrimp.

This moray is popular with people overseas.
There are many tiger moray in the sea around Kushimoto city.

And, there are so many ortmann’s spider carb.


The number of these is decreasing in our dive site recently, on the othere hands, There are so many this crab.

At second dive, we can see skeleton shrimp that has  her children on her body.

White one is baby. Skeleton shrimp usually protect her baby on her body.
It is a little bit maniac haha

Others, we could see many kinds of Anthias today.

The water temperature is getting warmer.
It is 22 degree.

I think the fish activity become more active.

Next month, we may be able to see spawning behavior of coral.
If you stay at Kushimoto in this term, I want you to see this situation.

The diving will do in the night.
