The sea condition was good today!!!
There is no waves and surge. So we can enjoy diving today as well.

I saw rare seaslug today.

I had never seen it before. I’m so happy to see it!!!

There are many kinds of anthias in some dive point.

The color of this anthias is so beautiful.
So, many diver likes this fish for taking a picture.

When the water temperature become 20 degree, we can see many goby.

I saw Black sailfin goby today.
There are other gobies as well in the same area.

Have you ever this fish?? The fish lives in the drift seaweed.
When we make a safety stop, we sometimes are able to see this fish near the surface.

We will go to diving three times tomorrow .
It will be rainy day. But sea condition will be good, I guess.

We will enjoy diving tomorrow as well!!

刻一刻と・・・

リクエストに応えられると嬉しいですね。

今日はGW明けの週末だからか、静かな週末に。
海の中も空いていたので、ゆっくり潜る事ができました〜〜。

そんな今日は、じっくりとマクロ中心にダイビングしてきました。
僕にとっては通常運転笑

１本目は、あまり見ないウミウシを発見！！！
クマドリミノウミウシ。

今年は水温の上がりが遅いからか、ウミウシの数がとても多いです！！！！
ウミウシ好きな方はまだまだ楽しめる時期が続いているので、今がチャンスかも♪

ずっと見ているテントウウミウシも３mmほどにサイズアップして目に優しくなってきました（笑）

水温が２０℃に迫ってくると、魚達の活性も上がってきます。
深場のハナダイもメスの周りをウロウロしたりと忙しなくなってきました〜〜。

マクロ生物については今の時期尽きる事はありません。
３０cmオーバーのミカドウミウシに、１cmのウミウシカクレエビなんて面白い組み合わせにも出会う事ができました。

このエビにとってはとんでもない豪邸ですよね〜〜。
人間に置き換えたら、１人でディズニーランドで暮らす的な？？

今月に入りハゼエリアも調査を進めています。
今日は昨年観察していたホタテツノハゼの安否確認に。

無事を確認できました。
ハゼエリアは昨年同様これから賑やかになっていきそうです（＾＾）
楽しみだな〜〜〜。

水面には流れ藻も増えてきて、今日は今季初のハナオコゼも観察できました！！
海は着々と夏の海に向かって変化しているようです。

水温の上がりと共に毎日変化していくのを感じる事ができる今の時期。
例年に比べると少し水温の上がりが遅いのが気になりますが、近々上がってくる事でしょう。

ちなみに、新人の翔ちゃんと僕はすでにウエットに衣替えをしています。
（雨の日はドライかも＾＾；）

I went to go research diving today.

We can observe fish breeding behavior in this season.
Now, many Jawfish protect their eggs in their mouth.

But, Jawfish was eating some food toady…

Sometimes, they jump out from their home.
When they jump out, we can see all of their body.
The case is rare.

We can see this scene in this season only.

The activity of goby is getting more and more.

We usually go to the goby area in summer season.
But, many goby stay out of the home in this year.
It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of gobies this year.

Have you ever seen this fish??

The shape is strange.
The fish walk on the sand with using their fins.

The shape and behavior is so interesting !!!

Others, there are so many kinds of macro creatures in Kushimoto area.

The water temperature is still 18 degree, but we can enjoy diving so much!!!

Tomorrow will be weekend, we will go to diving three times in a day!!

We could see many fishes today!!

After Golden Week term, it tend to decrease the number of diver.
But, we can see some underwater creatures in our pace.

Good condition continue. The visibility is 10m~15m.
We can see many fishes easily.

We could meet school of Chicken Grunt today!!!

The school is so dynamic !!!
I want everyone to see them!!!

And Jaw fish protect his eggs in his mouth.
The situations are seen in this term.

But, he don’t usually protect it in his mouth. So, it is difficult to see.

Others, there are a various of macro creatures in Bayside area.
You can see many kinds of situation on this season in Kushimoto!!

I think now season is good for diving in Japan!!

よくある予報が外れる１日でした（＾＾；）

GWが終わり、ゲストさんの波もひと段落？？
のんびりとした１日でした〜〜。

ただ、海は午後に向かうにつれて風が強くなり、豹変・・・・。
天気予報ではこんな予報ではなかったはずなのに・・・

串本あるあるの１つかもしれません。

海の中は穏やかなのにな〜〜。透明度も１０〜１２mほど見えて、快適（＾＾）
水温は２０m位から水温が１９℃台に。
少し冷水塊が入って来ている様子です。

それでも、水中生物の活性は健在！！！
１本目はイサキの大群に塗れて来ました！！！

備前水路を覆い尽くすほどの数！！
これは圧巻です！！エキジット間際にはシマアジの大群も！！
これから魚の数がどんどん増えていきそうですね〜〜。

そして、GW中はなかなか卵を見せてくれなかったジョーフィッシュ。
今日は機嫌良く卵を見せてくれました〜〜。

少し口からはみ出ているのは気のせいかな？？
急に機嫌が良くなったのか、めちゃくちゃ卵を見せてくれました。
ホントこのジョーフィシュの考えている事が分からない・・・。
気分屋なのかもしれません。

気分屋といえば、GWに消えたと思っていたカエルアンコウ。
今日行ってみると、少し移動していたようで、安否確認ができました〜〜。

GWは人が多いので、シャイな生き物たちはひっそりと休暇をとっていたようです（＾＾；）

最終便は風影になる無敵のポイント、サンビラへ。

今では貴重なスリバチカイメンにひっそりと暮らす、クシノハカクレエビ。
比較的撮りやすいところにいるいい個体です（＾＾）

サンゴの群落エリアではエダサンゴが復活していたりと、自然の回復力には驚かされます！！！

サンゴがあって魚がいてというTHE海という光景が見られるのもサンビラのポイントの魅力かもしれません。

さて、GWが終われば次は串本ダイビング祭り！！！
５月１８日、１９日に最新の器材が串本にやってきます！！！
まだ空きが若干ございますので、ご都合のつく方はぜひ串本へお越しくださいませ〜〜。

Swaziland student came to our shop today.
I try to introduce a charm of Kushimoto’s sea.

At first dive, he could find sea turtle by himself!!

When he find sea turtle at first, I couldn’t see it.
But the sea turtle come back to us!!!

We are so lucky today!!!!

And, I show hime tiny sea slug as well.

Macro diving is the popular style in Japan.
So, when the overseas guest come to our shop, I always show such a small things.

Then we will go to the area which held “Koinobori” underwater.

Today is called “Children’s day” in Japan.
It is a tradition to decorate carp streamers on Children’s day in Japan.

It was nice timing to dive!!!!

The water temperature is about 20 degree now.
The number of the guest who wear a wetsuit is getting more.

When the water temperature  become more than 20 degree, we can see a spawning behavior of Big fin reef squid.

I’m looking forward to observing the behavior!!!

勉強の成果？？

今日は転石地帯をネチネチと。

今年のGWは雨続き・・・・。
なかなかスカッと晴れる日が来ないです（＾＾；）
今年は例年よりも白い状態で夏を迎えるかな？？笑

天気は生憎の日々ですが、海は穏やかで最高の日々が続いています（＾＾）
１本目は転石の下にいる生き物探し。

4月頭にお世話になった西伊豆・浮島での勉強の成果が遺憾無く発揮された１本となりました！！！

なぜかというと・・・・ここにいそうと思った岩やサンゴのガレをめくるとウミウシがわんさか〜〜♪
カメノコフシエラガイやオトメミドリガイなどなど、ウミウシのオンパレード！！！！

転石のそばでは、アヤニシキが放卵しているなど、マクロを中心に被写体満載の１本でした〜〜。

アヤニシキのそばの岩肌を見れば、ここ最近よく会う、ツルガチゴミノウミウシも。

今は至る所にウミウシの卵があるので、餌が豊富だからかな〜〜？？
卵が多すぎると、探す場所が多くて困っちゃうのですが・・・汗

２本目は近場でマクロダイブ。
エビ・カニも結構多い今の海。

昨日はアヤニシキを背負うカイカムリygに会いましたが、今日は海藻を付けているツノガニが。

みんな色々な隠れ蓑を使って身を守っているんですね〜〜。

雨の日は、ポリプも開いている事が多いので、ヤギ類を絡めた被写体もおすすめ〜〜。

ポリプとのコラボはやっぱり綺麗ですね〜〜。
明日天気はぐずつくようですが、海は穏やかそう（＾＾）

今年のGWは海況がいい日が多いまま終えられそうです！！！！

明日までは平日のシフト。
明後日からの連休に向けて、潜りまくりま〜〜す。

I searched for some underwater creatures under the rock mainly.

Now is holiday week in Japan.
It is called Golden week.

Many Japanese  people go to somewhere for hanging out.
But this year’s Golden Week has three weekdays.
So, today has not many divers in Kushimoto area.

On the other hands, the sea condition is so nice.
We can enjoy diving without stress.

We can see this situation on rainy day.
The situation is so beautiful!!!
The diver who take a picture likes this situation.

I went to Izu peninsula for studying how to find sea slug.
The result of the study were put out to good use today.

I learned how to find sea slug that hide under the small rock.
I try to use this skill today,  then I could find out many kinds of sea slug!!!

I was so happy to be able to find sea slugs!!!
I think it is important thing to learn new knowledge and skills.

We can also observe spawning behavior in this season.

We could observe the spawning of seaweed.
The eggs is tiny. It is difficult to see with our eyes.
It is better to use camera for observing its situation.

Others, there are various of underwater creatures now.

I think you can enjoy diving in Kushimoto area now.
I want everyone to come to Kushimoto now!!!

We can dive in Kushimoto area in first term of GW.

The sea condition kept so nice in first half of GW.
So, we can dive easily and stressless in this term.

We went to the area that has many gobies.

I could meet same goby which was seen in last year.
I was relived that the goby still lives.

The water temperature is getting warmer and warmer.
So, the activity of fish is more active.

Many Jaw fish aim foods.

Sometimes, they jump out from their house.

I saw rare situation yesterday.
Male ray courting a female ray.  I had never seen its situation before.

I was so excited !!!!!

Tomorrow will be weekdays.
There is not many divers at the sea in weekdays.
So, we could see many underwater creatures in our pace.

When you come to Kansai, please come and visit us!!!

GW前半クールが終了

GWの３連休前半無事に潜れました〜〜。

GW期間の連休前半が終了〜〜。
明日からはしばし平日のゆっくりとした日に戻ります。

透明度、水温は日替わりではありますが、ジワジワ上がってきています。
浮遊系も多い日がちらほらと。今日は外洋でハナビラウオygが見られました！！！

晴れていたら、ウエットでも行ける日が増えてくるかも（＾＾）
昨日試しにロクハンで潜ってみましたが、意外と行ける！！！！
５月からはロクハンにしようかな〜〜。

今日は久々にハゼエリアへ。
ヤシャハゼの生存を確認しました〜〜。

これで夏のハゼエリアのネタはゲット〜〜。

まだホバリングはしてくれませんでしたが、警戒心はほぼなし！！！
水温がジワジワ上がってきた証拠かもしれません（＾＾）

活性が上がってきたといえばジョーフィッシュ。

ある場所ではあちこちで餌を食べるために全身を出してジャンプする姿も見られました〜〜。

これから始まる求愛・産卵シーズンに向けてみんな体力を蓄える時期なのかもしれませんね。

求愛が始まりそうかなって今日思ったのはカモハラギンポ。

去年と全く同じ穴の場所に２匹。
ここは卵を守るシーンが見られる鉄板の場所です。

個人的に冬はウミウシ探しメインだったので、探す間合いの調整が大変・・・笑
これからのハイシーズンに向けて視野を少しずつ調整していこうと思います！！

明日も３ダイブ予定。
まだまだ潜りまくりますよ〜〜。
